MEROPE. A glow from another time

Like a piece of jewelry taken from a bygone era yet just as fitting in our own. Golden leaves spread out around a deep orange-red stone, whose warm color seems to carry its own light. Sometimes bright and almost translucent, other times darker, with a quiet glow beneath the domed surface.

An oval cabochon of genuine carnelian, 10 × 8 mm, rests in a gold-toned setting of ion-plated stainless steel. The wide ring band is shaped by overlapping leaves with finely engraved details. Their lines follow the curve of the ring and create a vivid pattern that continues along the sides. The open ring band makes it possible to adjust the size.

MEROPE is named after one of the seven Pleiades in Greek mythology. A name that brings to mind old stories, starry skies, and things that have endured through the centuries. In the meeting between the red depth of the carnelian and the golden structure of the leaves, there is that same feeling of something timeless.

Choose your ring size in the menu above, and we will adjust the ring by hand before delivery. The ring can also be adjusted afterwards, but since the steel is solid, it should be done with a ring sizer, not by hand.

STYLING

MEROPE is a ring that likes to take center stage. Its wide, golden shape makes it a natural focal point, while the warm red tone of the carnelian adds color and depth.

Against black or dark brown, the gold takes on an almost antique luster. Together with cream white, olive green, or deep wine red, the stone's warmth emerges in a mysterious way. Feel free to wear it with a simple linen shirt, a soft knitted sweater, or an elegant silk garment.

The engraved leaves give the ring a rich expression even from the side. MEROPE does not need other jewelry around it, but can also be combined with thin, simple gold-toned bracelets that let its shape remain the focus.

About Carnelian

Carnelian is a red to orange-brown variety of chalcedony, a mineral in the quartz family. Its color comes mainly from iron compounds and can vary from light, almost honey-colored tones to deep red and reddish-brown. The stone is often translucent, which gives it a special warmth when light reaches beneath the surface.

Carnelian has been used as an ornamental stone for thousands of years. In ancient Egypt, it appeared in jewelry and amulets, while Greeks and Romans appreciated it for signet rings and engraved gemstones. Its color and durability made it a sought-after material long before today's jewelry traditions took shape.

In crystal traditions, carnelian is associated with vitality, courage, creativity, and action. It is particularly linked to the sacral chakra and the ability to express one's own will, the desire to create, and the joy of living.

The red color of carnelian has also made it a symbol of warmth, passion, and the inner fire that drives us forward.

A small glow to carry with you. Like something that has been there all along, just waiting to shine.
